I’m Dr Emily Harragon, and as a Holistic Chiropractor, I draw on a variety of techniques to effectively calm your nervous system and restore balance and motion to your body.
A chiropractic adjustment can reduce pain, and improve joint movement and flexibility to help you feel better. I am passionate about treating the whole person, so I attend to problems from different angles to get the best result for you. I may offer treatment to your muscles and ligaments to encourage and speed healing.
I treat both acute and chronic musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction.
I have extensive experience in treating neck and shoulder pain, headaches and lower back pain. I also love treating sports injuries to assist recovery in getting your body back to its best shape for exercise. I’m passionate about health, fitness, and sport, with a keen interest in Yoga and Rugby League. I love nothing more than combining chiropractic with sport to help reduce recovery time, prevent injury, increase strength, and boost sporting performances naturally.
I have a focus on foot and knee pain and many clients report improvement in their condition after one or two sessions.
When people arrive for the first time, they are often in pain. A Chiropractic adjustment can improve joint movement, reduce discomfort and improve flexibility so you feel better. I may use massage and gentle muscle energy techniques alongside the adjustment to encourage and speed healing.
I work from a holistic perspective, taking into account many aspects of your health and lifestyle. Stress, mindset, and posture all contribute to musculoskeletal problems. Becoming aware of these causes and addressing them helps us get great results. Likewise, diet and prescribed exercise can to get you back to your best quickly.
I was introduced to chiropractic as a child, and experienced first-hand the wonderful effects that chiropractic can have on conditions such as headaches, migraines and motion sickness. Feeling the benefits I personally received from chiropractic care, I knew I wanted to dedicate my life to improving the lives of others in this way. A chiropractic career talk encouraged me further, and at 16 years old I decided that chiropractic was the path for me.
Passionate about providing world class care to my community, I left my family and friends behind to study at the world-renowned New Zealand College of Chiropractic, one of the world’s leading chiropractic institutions for education and research. After completing my degree, I returned home and have been practicing in my hometown of Newcastle until 2021.
I’ve recently relocated to Melbourne, and I’m excited to join your community here and help people live their best healthy lives. By checking and adjusting spines and other joints to allow proper range of movement, I can help you reduce pain and symptoms and function at your absolute best.
When I’m not in the clinic, you can find me at the beach swimming and sun baking, in the yoga studio, or in the kitchen cooking and baking.
