Jenny is a client-centred Clinical Psychologist who is passionate about using psychological strategies and therapies to support people in their journey towards insight, change and growth.
Her approach is evidence-based and she draws predominately from cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), trauma therapies such as cognitive processing therapy (CPT) and EMDR, internal family systems (IFS), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), schema therapy and mindfulness approaches. She tailors these therapies as appropriate, in order to meet each individual’s needs and circumstances.
Her particular strengths include working with adults experiencing PTSD, complex trauma, depression, anxiety, phobias, grief & loss, low self-esteem, relationship & interpersonal difficulties, stress and adjustment issues. She also has a particular interest in working with adults whose lives have been impacted by chronic/persistent pain and chronic health conditions. She also works as a Senior Psychologist in a Public Hospital where she has gained extensive experience in the hospital’s Pain Service and Hospital Admissions Risk Programs. She is also an accredited psychology supervisor.
