Hi, I’m Ruby! I’ve years of experience treating as a Remedial Massage Therapist and Myotherapist, and through that time I’ve developed my own unique style of practice tailored to my clients’ individual needs.
In each session, I utilise a variety of clinical techniques including myofacial release, trigger point therapy, and cupping alongside deep tissue and relaxation massage work. I may also combine stretching, joint mobilisation, dry needling, and corrective exercise instruction into your session if it’s appropriate. In this way, we can fully address challenging or persistent conditions and give you the tools you need for optimum recovery.
I like to treat your body as a whole, aiming to help decrease pain, and gain mobility and flexibility. I use my clinical background as the basis for my work, as well as allowing my own holistic, educative, and intuitive approach to Myotherapy to guide each session.
I have a firm belief in equality for all, and I conduct all my treatments with an emphasis on creating a safe and welcoming environment for everyone. Through my experiences and studies over the years, I’ve developed a strong belief in the importance of the relationship between the emotional and the physical. This is based on my understanding that a combination of physical exercise and bodywork can aid in managing stress, anxiety, pain, and discomfort.
I have an extensive background in movement, performance, and choreography. I’ve always been intrigued by the human body, anatomy, and physiology, and have fed my commitment by developing my practice in Body Work, Pilates, Performance, Background Corrective Exercises, and Myotherapy. I love the amazing effect that Pilates and a combination of Myotherapy techniques have on the body and on people’s feelings of wellbeing.
After practising as a Remedial Massage Therapist for many years, I gained my qualification in Myotherapy from RMIT University in 2018, further enhancing my knowledge and skills in bodywork. My driving passion is supporting and helping people who are in physical and emotional pain.
I seek to keep expanding my heart, mind and practice with continuous learning and growth, helping others on their own healing journey.
