Hey there, I’m Maddock.
I’m a Remedial Massage Therapist and Myotherapist in training, which means that along with 20 years of experience in hands-on massage techniques, I also offer dry needling. The combo of these two approaches can be an absolute game-changer for chronic and painful conditions.
My passions are painful conditions such as nerve compression syndromes (think carpal tunnel, thoracic outlet syndrome, and sciatica), plus neck pain, headaches & migraines, and lower back pain.
I have extensive experience working with hip, knee, and foot pain. I’m a bit of a gun at detecting imbalances in the lower body that may be affecting mobility, leading to reduced range of motion, immobility, and dysfunction. If you’re struggling with heel pain, or your running gait or squats are all screwed up, I’m your guy. I also treat athletes with Sports Massage therapy and I LOVE offering lymphatic drainage.
You should see me if you need:
- Muscle, ligament or tendon injury treatment (it’s ok if you have no idea which thing isn’t working, that’s our job!)
- Pain management
- Functional movement advice
- Improved range of motion
- Rehabilitation of an acute or chronic injury
I carry a deep connection to land and home, and value tradition highly. I translate the resonance of these values into my treatment, where I strive to help you find absolute structural integrity. You can expect me to be unwavering in my commitment to precision and consistent improvement when you’re working on an issue with me.
I’m a guide and mentor for those who a bit ‘floppy’ on following through on the things our bodies need for us to truly heal. I treat the whole person and not just the injury or dysfunction.
I’m also our resident ‘body nerd’. I know things about the human meat vessel that make most of us go, ‘Whaaaaaaat?’. Having tutored anatomy in leading universities, I have an intimate understanding of all things anatomy-related.
I qualified as a Remedial Massage Therapist in 2007. I continue to refresh and expand my skillset through further education, currently undertaking a Bachelor of Health Science in Myotherapy. I always aim for a calm, friendly, and empathic style of delivery.
