How Adjustments Not Only Effect the Body but Also the Neuroplasticity of the Brain

For the last 100 years or so we have known chiropractic to be an amazing tool to help restore the brain-body connection.  We have always know the profound effect an adjustment can have on the body to help restore it to proper function.

It wasn’t until recently, however, that we have discovered that adjustments have a much bigger and better effect that we ever imagined.  Studies have now shown that chiropractic adjustments not only help the body function better but also help our brain function better.

In a recent study, learning new responses to motor tasks improved significantly in subjects who received a cervical spine adjustment prior to the task being given.

Previous thought was that an adjustment allowed the body to function better, but we had no idea we were changing and improving the way our brain functions and learns with manipulative therapy.

This new research is so exciting for us chiropractors, as we always knew how how significant an effect an adjustment could have on the body – but now we are beginning to learn what a difference it makes to our brains and that is more amazing than we ever thought possible!
